How To Find An A.A. Meeting

Alcoholics Anonymous is worldwide with A.A. meetings in almost every community. You can find times and places of local A.A. meetings or events by contacting a nearby central office, intergroup or answering service of U.S. and Canada. Please click here. The General Service Office does not maintain local meeting information.

A.A. members traveling within the U.S. and Canada may also obtain the regional A.A. directories, which provide confidential A.A. contact information within the U.S. and Canada. These directories can be obtained from local intergroup/Central Offices or by contacting the General Service Office. These directories are for A.A. members only.

General Service Conference Area Web sites provide information about General Service activities in their local Area and, in some cases, may include local meeting information. To access the list of General Service Conference Area Web sites please click here.

Outside the U.S. and Canada you can find times and places of local A.A. meetings or events by contacting a nearby office from the list of General Service offices, Central Offices, Intergroups and Answering Services Overseas. Please click here to download PDF

For information on how to contact the International General Service Office nearest you please Please click here.

A.A. members traveling abroad may also obtain the International A.A. Directory, which provides confidential A.A. contact information overseas. This directory can be obtained from local intergroups/Central Offices or by contacting the General Service Office. This directory is for A.A. members only.

One of the ways A.A. members stay sober is by helping others to recover from alcoholism. We encourage you to contact the nearest A.A. office, where local A.A. members will provide information to anyone.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.

There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
